Jarrold BoBunny Samples

Morning all

6 weeks in and I'm loving my new job - certainly the right decision.

Here's a card a made for a special little girl celebrating her 1st birthday.

As I bought the new car, I wasn't going to go to the NEC craft event but at the last minute decided to change our minds. Lucy had been looking forward to it and it was her first Christmas show. Mark also tagged along to carry bags and provided a fabulous packed lunch. We had a great day but I've never seen it soooooooooo busy. Every aisle was a challenge and as for the toilet queue!!! Didn't spend a great deal. One of my fav purchases of the day was an embossing folder tree - just love it and can see so many things I can do with. Here's a card I've made for my friends birthday using it. It was great catching up with friends but didn't get back to some as promised as it was just so busy.

Thursday 12th saw me become another year older (droopy drawers). Lucy had been off sick from school so wasn't sure if we would get out but I'm pleased to report that she came bouncing back and we had a lovely evening at MamaMia's in Bedford.

Friday 13th I went to the usual 3 Jolly Scrappers crop at Brampton. Decided to sit and make some samples for my BoBunny demo but really don't think I was in the right mood so only got 2 made. It was nice catching up with Sharon but we called it a day at 10pm. Here is one of the samples, there are more but blogger is being a pain in the a**e and won't let me cut & paste and I've already lost one photo on here - will post more pics later of the demo samples.

Saturday was the Craftystash Crop at Tempsford - fabulous - I just love these days and really enjoyed making both projects. Had product and time left so even started on a 3rd page. Can't wait now until 5th/6th Dec. Sue has just set up a blog so why not pay it a visit. Both pages still need a title but they are now on that "pile" to be finished!!!

Last night was the stampers 6 evening at Sharon's - this was the last one until after Christmas and I love the projects we made. I'm going to use the calendar idea for teachers Christmas gifts.

Tonight is children in need so I'm going to set the TV up in the craft room and finish making samples for my BoBunny demo at Jarrolds, Norwich tomorrow. Not having done a demo for a while, it feels very strange :-) Here's a photo of Lucy ready for school this morning - they are having dress down day for Children in Need.

I've have been asked to do some workshops after Christmas on the Cricut and Design Studio - If anyone who reads this is interested in further info then get in touch - I'm very excited as I love this machine and in my opinion is the best electronic die cutter on the market!

at last :-)

Well October came and went!!! Lots of changes and things happening but it has taken me a little while to get into any sort of routine.

4th Oct saw me do my last demo for Docrafts at Huntingdon Garden & Leisure - had a really good day and saw lots of familiar faces.

9th Oct I was at the 3 Jolly Scrappers crop in Brampton - had a lovely evening catching up with Sharon but didn't get to finish anything!! too much chatting (that's so unlike me) hehe!

10th Oct was the Craftystash crop at Tempsford. The projects had been designed by Michelle Jackson-Mogford who was also on hand to offer some help - such a lovely lady and I hope I do more of her projects in the future. There was a total of 3 projects to make but I only completed this one. I will get the others made and will post photos once complete.

11th Oct was the all day workshop with Your Touch of Craft at Newmarket. I got to sit next to Lisa all day which was fab. The classes were taught by Annie Haffermann and Suezie Howard. There were 4 projects and one make and take and I still have them all to finish, but I know I will so am not stressing. Big news for anyone interested Amanda @ Your Touch of Craft has Donna Downey coming to teach for her next April in Bury - if you are interested contact Amanda asap as I know this is going to be very popular. I've got my name down :-)

12th October I started my new job and having been there for 3 weeks must tell you how happy I am. I'm back doing office work and loving every minute. I work 20 hours per week which is fitting in perfectly. Just taking me a little while to get into any routine but it's coming. It's been lovely having the family time at the weekends.

Last week was half term and Mark had the week off. This is the first time I've worked and Mark has been at home since before I had Lucy. Lucy's left all the pink behind and had her bedroom decorated. She's growing up sooooooooooo fast. Mark and I went to buy some light bulbs and I came home with a new car!!! I fell in love with the colour and after a test drive also fell in love with the car. I'm sure it will have it's own scrapbook page very soon.

Halloween arrived and this year I was really pleased to be out for the evening as I really don't like trick or treaters. Mark's mum and dad were celebrating 50 years of marriage that evening and it was lovely to catch up with everyone. I made them the following page which we framed (inspired by the layout I did at Tempsford) and a lovely guest took our family group photo.

back soon :-)

Time for an Update

This layout was done when I attended the monthly crop at Southoe - Didn't make the kit project on the day and still have that to do!!

This is me at Your Touch of Craft in Bury St Edmunds last Saturday - this picture was taken by the lovely Suezie I was demoing the Holly Jolly programme for Bramwells which includes Bobunny Papers and Inkadinkado (I love saying that word) rubber stamps. I'm always made to feel so welcome and am looking forward to attending their workshop @ Newmarket on the 11th October - I think there are a couple of spaces left if anyone would like to join me :-)

Cover of Flag Book - as soon as I saw this paper I knew it had to go on the front of an album This inside of the album I am again preparing samples this week as have a freelance demo in Barretts on Saturday and then my very last Docrafts demo on Sunday at Huntingdon Garden & Leisure. Will post more photo's once samples made :-)

NEWSFLASH

Just thought I would report that I have informed Docrafts today that I no longer wish to demonstrate for them. Everything is perfectly ok but with Lucy now starting secondary school I am looking to return to more main stream employment. I am still doing the demos that have already been booked and for the time being I am going to continue demoing for Bramwells and any freelance work I might get as these don't normally amount to much. Am I still looking to continue crafting - OH YES but I will have more time to do those projects I've wanted to do and not had time to do as I've been making samples :-)

Be back soon with photos of the layouts I completed from Craftystash xx

Well

what am I up to today - planning for some of it as I have a very busy few days planned with lots of fun things happening.

Tonight I'm off to the Stampers 6 at my very good friend Sharon's house. Knowing I'm catching up with Sharon I already know it will be a fab evening ;-)

Tomorrow night I'm out to the 3 Jolly Scrappers monthly crop - again spending time with Sharon - I hope to finish a page which has quite a lot of work on it to do.

Saturday I'm in Barretts of St Neots doing a freelance demo but as they are a Docraft stockist I will be using mostly Docraft product.

Sunday I'm off to a crop 10 to 4 in Welwyn Garden City. I'm really trying to do a lot more scrap booking and I love being taught by others (being taken outside of my comfort zone) so to that end last month I attended my first Craftystash Crop at Tempsford. I was worried I wouldn't have enough to do so took loads with me, which I came home with untouched. Everyone was lovely and I was made to feel extremely welcome. You are given a kit with detailed instructions so you can work along at your own pace however Sue is on hand if you have any questions. Both projects were fab - I completed one but still have loads to do on the other so will be finishing it at tomorrows crop. I promise then to puts pics on here of both layouts next week. I intend to attend the Tempsford Crop on a regular basis however as I'm working Saturday and I didn't want to miss out am taking myself to the WGC crop. Have had details sent of what I need to take and the type of photo's so have chosen the following pics. I again will post photos once I get the layouts done as knowing me I'd be surprised if I finish them Sunday!!!! I do so like to natter!! hehe

This is me at Chilford Hall Vineyard - Mark and I were given this trip as a Christmas present and what a great afternoon we had - hic!!

Many people say that Lucy looks like me but I really think she is turning into a mini Mark which I'm really pleased about as the last thing I would wish on her would be to be dumpy like me!!
I just love this photo - not all my shots come out well on the new camera but when they do they take my breathe away.

Where did that go?

I mean the 6 weeks summer break.................just flew by and I was a very bad blogger but for a good reason as spent lots of quality time with my family.

Lucy has today headed off for her first day at big school......gulp! where have those years gone?

I am not even going to try and catch up with the summer but I'm sure you'll see photos of some of it over the coming weeks.
Need to get busy today making samples for my demo this Saturday at Grafton Crafts, Kimbolton - it would be lovely to see you. I'll be showing all the lovely new product from Docrafts

Yes.................I know

I'm a very bad blogger and am not going to make any excuses or say I'm going to get better but I will try harder once the school routine resumes.

Just had to share these 2 photos though - look what can be achieved in just 14 months!!!

HoHoHo - let me be

the first to wish you Merry Christmas :-)

At the end of June our demo stock arrived for the Docrafts July/August promotion. I will be the first to admit I found it very hard to make Christmas cards during the hottest time of the year - however I managed it and have had 3 fabulous demos at Jarrolds Norwich, The Range Ipswich and Sew Simple Norwich. The customers and staff have been excellent and even though I've travelled quite a way have had 3 very successful demos. I'm due to demo this range at Grafton Crafts on the 22nd August but want to work on some new samples for this demo.

The update continues

well I'm managing to stick to what I said on Monday and it's really nice revisiting the month.

My daughter has now left Junior school having been there for 8 years. One of the Mums approached me to help with a year book - I ended up more than helping and this is where a lot of my June went. It took a lot longer to do than I thought it would but everyone who ordered was really pleased with it. We used a company in St Ives called MyCreation who I can highly recommend. The service was fab.

We then had 2 sports days at school - the first one was cut short as the weather was too hot but I'm pleased to say in the end all events were fitted in.

On the 2nd of July it was the 2nd Stampers 6 which is run by my friend Sharon. Here is the picnic basket we made - in August we are going to make some notelets for it using the scratch 'n' sniff technique.

I liked the basket so much I used a smaller version for the teachers gifts which I filled with choccies.

Teaching

I have come to realise with the many things I've done I really don't like doing workshops! One offs are fine but something on going just isn't for me - but boy do I love attending crops & workshops and of course doing demos.

During the time I didn't get to do my blog I taught 17 ladies of the Folksworth Ladies Circle how to fold a gents shirt from paper and make a card. I had been there 2 years before so they must have enjoyed it to ask me back again. Normally when I've done classes in the past most of the people are grafters and have some basic tools but within this group most are non papercrafters hence why I go for simple paper folding techniques that don't need lots of tools/product. What was really nice though - 2 of the ladies since my last visit have now taken up papercrafting.

I went to the new craft club opened in St Neots, Scrappykatz. It runs on a Saturday once a month which is why I don't normally have the chance to attend - Sue and Mandy are lovely and I plan to go again on the 1st August and this time I will scrap. When I attended my new Docrafts kit had just arrived so I felt I should get on and make samples (more on that in tomorrows update)

I also attended the monthly crop at Southoe hosted by Anna Bowkis. It's a great group of ladies and Anna always has a class kit to do. As I hadn't been able to attend the one the previous month I also had that kit to do as well. We don't meet again, sadly, until September.

Fathers Day - Banham Zoo

I first heard about this Zoo from my lovely friend Lisa. When I heard you could feed the Giraffes I just knew I would have to go. We didn't end up feeding them but got very very close to them and would recommend it as a great day out.

Grafton Demo

It seems ages ago that I did this demo - It was for Grafton Crafts of Kimbolton but held in Huntingdon. I am demoing for them again on the 22nd August and 5th September at their Kimbolton Warehouse.

that's how long it's been since I last blogged! Have just made a list of what I've done in that 4 weeks 3 days and to be honest I'm not surprised I've just not got this done. What's been really really nice though is I have met people who actually read this and look forward to my next posting so I'm making a promise that I am going to post every day this week and then I might go back to weekly :-)

Something for the weekend................

Tomorrow I am demoing for Grafton Crafts @ the WI in Huntingdon - It would be great to see you. If you can't make it why not visit their web site. P & P is free and they do some lovely ribbon spools - 20metres for just £2.99. Here are just a couple of the cards I've made.
